This makes me laugh. Largely because a) I do hang out in that section a good bit (yes, I have favorite Dewey Decimal sections. doesn't everyone?) b) I consider myself, religious belief-wise, to be a Buddhist with some Hindu spices mixed in, topped with a dash of Taoism, a good helping of respect for the Catholic church and some Zen/Shinto on the side, and maybe followed with some science/logic to cleanse the palate. (Yes, I do consider science a religion. It has a belief system - the rules of cause and effect, a system of proofs/checks and balances, a belief in/the desire to find the answer. It's hard to explain.)

And I really don't feel that my work is ever finished;

AND. I do have a good number of Christian friends. At least it feels like I do. [livejournal.com profile] reannon and [livejournal.com profile] patgreene and [livejournal.com profile] opalturtle and [livejournal.com profile] hithah and [livejournal.com profile] bork and I'm probably forgetting some, plus I have some family that is rather heavily into the church. I find their religions interesting - I'm very curious about them - but I don't know that it's really for me; I have too many beliefs that are as I see it not included or contradicted in the Bible (the most significant being reincarnation and the notion of nirvana rather than heaven or hell, not to mention multiple Gods (although Catholicism is a little closer with all the saints) .)

Wow that was random. <3
