A dear friend of mine is doing a one-card tarot draw right now: if you're interested in that sort of thing I'd recommend her, because she's one of three people i trust to read my cards. Her post is here. <3

Today I'm trying to focus (preferably on writing).. I have done a whole bunch of things about going back to school (found out what form i need to fill out; found out the holds on my record in order to make them go away, etc. Am also looking for ways to get money coming in to make this whole process take less time. If I can relax enough to actually write I can submit more stuff to markets. nts: find market for microfiction; apply for writing jobs/gigs on craigslist. If anyone knows which temp agencies in Seattle don't suck too badly please let me know. I'll pretty much do anything except telemarketing.

Also: Bishop Gene Robinson will be leading opening prayer at Obama's inaugaration.

I took your advice and requested a card. I've never done this before. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Thanks for the tarot recommendation! I love that stuff, and I've been wondering about getting a full reading done! I'll post my card on my journal when I get it. ;)

Did you read the comments to that article? Lmao. Lots of 'I don't personally hate gays, but they're evil & should accept they can never be normal' crap.

I have to say that the general idea of Tarot cards conflicts with my religious beliefs. Although my religious beliefs have become slightly more liberal in the last few years.

But when I let my sister do a reading for me, over the phone, a few years back, it was very accurate. She had something of mine in her possession, which is apparently relevant.

I wonder if it's because she's gifted, because Tarot cards really work, or just because she knows me so well.

But it's definitely interesting.

Sorry to butt in. Where was this?

I too took your advice. I usually do my own readings in December to tell of what to expect during the year, but forgot last year.

Didn’t you do a post a little while back on whether we would buy writing from you? I would totally buy microfiction from you, especially if it was in a little handbound booklet. Those sort of things make me very happy.

I haven’t forgot that I owe you scans of make-up tips, either. They’ve been selected and will be scanned and uploaded as soon as I finish a fic for one of my other beloved LJers.

eee, thank you! that sounds excellent. <3
i actually do have a plan for that. i'm going to write up a smallish book of original not-online stories, then put them in a little book with a painted or decoupaged or something like cover? and then sell them via etsy, for five to seven dollars depending on size and cost of materials, and maybe a bit more for shipping - and also as a PDF file for a digital version for a little bit less. would you buy something like that? i'm going to make up a post/poll later today about it.

I would absolutely buy something like that, and have filled in the poll :D. Depending on how much shipping is, though, I might opt for the digital version.
