(no subject)

I am somewhat amused by the fact that I have an 'Everything I Needed To Know I Learned from Satan' poster on the same wall as one containing an Irish blessing.

Flying solo today; Chris is in Eugene demonstrating something. He'll be home around dinner time, and left around four this morning.

The creative well has apparently dried up and hit bottom, too. Argh. Time to recharge. Computer free days work for other people, but I've never found they work for me much. I don't know, I just hate putting myself under that kind of restriction - Thou Shalt Not Pick Up Thy Laptop. Maybe it's because it doesn't seem to matter whether or not I have my computer, I'm still almost always multithreading - reading, talking, watching TV, listening to tunes, whatever. That said I might finish 'Coraline' and start 'Six Easy Pieces' ... do some cards and see if I can find my sewing stuff to play with. But the notion of not using my computer at all today never entered my mind; I don't understand it. Certainly not at this point in my life.

Sean actually slept from 10-8 with no trouble at all.
*dies*
*revives*
Either we've had a minor miracle or Sean was replaced by a pod person.

I am hopelessly in love with Phish. No, not in THAT way, silly.

I'd like to say that the weather's supposedly getting up to 80 this weekend. Boy, am I glad I moved. That is all.

All right. Everybody out of the pool.

Reality show as contest for human baby.

Does anyone else besides me remember that Richard Bachman story "The Running Man"?
Anyone scared?
Anyone think we're going that way?
Anyone? Bueller?

Thank youuuuuu, [personal profile] mactavish ...

I just recieved my copy of Men at Arms, and I'm enjoying it immensely already. Where should I go from here? I love this stuff.
(Sorry, Richard, you'll have to wait - or at least have my slightly divided attention.)

Forgot to mention yesterday; when we put Sean in his booster seat for the feeding assessment, he actually said 'eat'. Not bad for a kiddo with no words, huh?

Finished 'Coraline', which was great. So there.

That plaintive wail you hear? Coming from Portland? That's me.

Dear Ben Folds,
If you don't tour the West Coast soon, you're going to make me cry.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Sincerely,
Phinnia
