Notes from the left coast

I want my books. *grump* I hate not having the next book in a series I want to read. Cookbooks are fun, yes. But they're not really /reading/ unless I'm in the mood to read cookbooks, which I am not at the moment. And that's most of what I've been buying of late. Useful though. I got a copy of 'Passionate Vegetarian' (which is about 1200 pages of goodness) for $12. Go me.
So I'm reading graphic novels and enjoying them. This is what happens when you don't let your kids read comics. They end up reading them into adulthood. Although I suppose then they can spend their /own/ money on them.
Still haven't heard anything re: the dishwasher other than it needs replacing. Have I mentioned how I hate doing regular dishes? Oh well. I'll manage.
The dentist yesterday was a total exercise in futility. The crown didn't quite fit properly (needs more enamel - he likes a tight fit) so they had to send it back. I have to go back on Thursday.
If you ever get a crown, don't make the mistake I did and assume they'd just put the new one on top of the temporary. HA. This is a lie. They pry the temp one off. And it hurts. Especially if you have to put it right back on, too.
Oh well. I'll live. I suppose it is better than needles. Or labor pains.
