Things I never said

I could say a lot here ... I could. I could tell you how my parents never had children and how all of my sibs were from my mother's first marriage and I was an adoption and how my mother's first marriage was a big fat mistake with a capital mistake, and my folks' marriage was one of the best examples of a loving equal partnership I've ever seen. But ... I won't ... because the people that are trying to push this ridiculous crap through don't read this, and really I'm trying to at least keep my blood pressure to a reasonable level - one rant per day is enough.
So I'll move on to the people who are suing Benihana because they were apparently the beginning of a long convoluted chain of events which led eventually to someone's death. (link fromjoedecker.) I could go on about how stupid this is and how the justice system in this country is turning into a farce and how some people honestly believe that the response to everything bad happening is to file a lawsuit. But I won't. It's more fun to throw shrimp at the lawyers. Or at least contemplate it.
So instead I'll mention that I had a wonderful dinner (carolina kale, gardenburger riblets, potato croquette), that croquette is fun to say, and that I have a nice shiny new icon made byiroshi, yay. And that we're having scalloped potatoes and carrots, stuffed harvest squash with rice stuffing and tofurkey and gravy for thanksgiving dinner. And probably cookies, but I'm not sure about dessert.
