this turns out to be very kidcentric

the evil meeting of doom
The meeting went well, actually. We had to do some fast talking out of having them take him mornings-only for the first while (uh, our classes are in the afternoons?) until he transitions into the new environment: but given that we'll be on campus and have breaks between classes we can go in to be with him and help him and them learn his moods and how to deal with him, and they were willing to accept that as a fine alternative. He behaved startlingly well at the meeting, especially for getting up at 7:15 this morning, even when we were in the classroom and there with the other kids (which were being loud like kids are.) Fortunately he slept well last night, which makes a huge difference. I think this can work. Handed off all of their forms save the medical one and the deposit check.
His teachers (SteveandTerryAnn) will be doing a home visit (they do this for all kids) probably Tuesday of next week during their inservice, and the ECSE staff will be coordinating with them.
*phew* That's a huge load off of my mind. I was terrified we'd have to find other arrangements. Which we could do, but who wants to?

a little entertainment for your friday
Those wacky crafty people are at it again. This time someone's crocheted the Lorenz equation. It's really neat.
Speaking of math, New Scientist has an interview with John Nash (think A Beautiful Mind) on the nature of genius and madness.
And apparently the way I watch TV is normal for a four year old. Seriously, most of the time I don't really look at the screen.

noises off
Sean was imitating the dogs barking on the way home. And the bus noises on the way there. And the cars. We're in a very imitative mood, apparently.
