wouldn't this be a good time for a nice piece of rhubarb pie?
Yes, it would, actually. I'd love some. The problem is that rhubarb is generally out in the spring and yet we always had rhubarb pie at Christmas dinner. (And mincemeat. I hate mincemeat. And tomato juice, which I also hate. Not cranberry sauce, because my whole family hated cranberry sauce. But I digress.) This was accomplished through the forethought of frozen rhubarb. Pick it out of the backyard (and eat some, because that's what you DO) and then freeze it after cutting it up.
Now I'm here in Oregon and dreaming of rhubarb pie - unfortunately most places here don't have it. *weeps* Is there such thing as pre-frozen rhubarb? Does Trader Joes carry it perhaps?
I have cold medication and therefore can sustain a complete thought again. This capability evaporated for about half an hour after I ran across the Rapture Index (which was originally found by
weaktwos) and had to hide in a small fetal ball for a while. Then I looked at Steve, don't eat it! and was strangely comforted, even after reading about how he drank CHOCOLATEY BREAST MILK.
