bits
I found out (or possibly re-found out) that Chris can play portions of the last track on Shepherd Moons (Enya) on the recorder. (Sometimes he still surprises me.)
This week we should find out for sure about the move to Boston. *crosses fingers*
Emailed Mr. Fiction Writing Dude. I suppose I'll find out one way or another tomorrow. *crosses toes, to go along with fingers*
Seaners is starting to put together more and more word approximations. I have no idea why he felt the need to say 'bombay' yesterday ... *insert pause for drive by hugging here*. Recent food victories: gardenburger. And hugging. He's into the hugging.
I had a MAJOR BRAINWAVE yesterday, actually. I have to wonder if it's the fact that the liquid in a cup is too thin. Because he'll take medicine out of a cup (yes, I know. He won't drink juice or eat chocolate or cookies but he WILL take medicine! The child is a FREAK.) but not the same amount of juice or milk out of the same type of dosage cup. So I emailed people (sweetly bitching at them about their lack of progress or interest in fixing this) and mentioning this and asking ONCE AGAIN for a feeding consult, mentioning the idea I had - about thickening the liquid a little, because cold medicine is ever-so-slightly thicker than milk or water, and he's got more control over how much liquid he's getting because it flows slower. I'm not expecting an immediate response as they're off this week, but here's hoping there might be some progress. (Yes, we have tried sippy cups. Four different brands. De nada. Screams, throws across room, tantrum. Open cup not work either, neither does paper cup, or little dixie cups you get at the dentists' office ... I haven't tried glass cups, but that's because I'm not an idiot.)
Okay, you know those cookies, the ones with biscuit on the bottom and then jam and then marshmallow and the whole thing was covered with chocolate? What the hell were they called? This is making me crazy.
This afternoon? Music class. And pizza.
