Science Genius Girl (for

Fabian ran into the bedroom and leapt onto the bed, bouncing twice before finally settling into the nest of unmade blankets. "Hey!"
"Hey." Audra scarcely moved, her eyes locked onto the page, barely noticing her own movement as the momentum bounced her.
"Whatcha doing?"
She sighed deeply and looked up from her working-trance, trying to shove the irritation at being interrupted to the back of her mind. "Trying to read."
"What?" He smiled charmingly, one hundred percent sweetness and light and mischef sucking on a frozen raspberry juice bar.
"Organic chemistry." Audra replied shortly.
"It's eighteen billion degrees outside. It's the first nice day we've had here all summer, and you're sitting in here reading chemistry books? Come on, science genius girl, lighten up, live a little."
"I have to pass this exam."
"You've been studying for hours. Take a break!"
"No."
"Suit yourself." He lay back on the bed, letting his blonde hair flow over the pillow and into a puddle on the floor. "Don't mind me, I'm just sitting here eating. You want one of these?"
"No." She turned back to her book.
Fabian lay still for a moment, a raspberry-lipped grin forming on his face as he stared innocently up at the ceiling. He slurped noisily, sucking on the juice bar and smacking his lips.
Audra's eyes flickered over toward him for a second and then continued to read, resolutely plodding through the textbook.
He caught her eyes for a moment, winked at her and kept sucking.
She ignored him and tried to read the paragraph again.
Fabian ran his tongue around the frozen treat, spiralling up to the top before plunging the red juice bar back in his mouth.
"Will you stop that!" Audra slammed her book.
"Stop what?"
"Stop ... lying there fellating your freezepop. It's distracting!"
He slid up onto one elbow and stared at her, smiling sweetly. "If you are that easily distracted, my love, then I suggest you take a break. When was the last time you ate anything? You've been reading the same page for five minutes."
"Uh ... breakfast?"
"Bad bad spunky. Come on. Put the evil book down and we'll go out to the kitchen and have leftover kung pao chicken. Come on ..." He gently took the book away from her, setting it aside and taking her hand.
"It doesn't help that you blow that thing better than I could." she replied grumpily, following him out of the room.
Fabian started giggling, his peals of laughter trailing behind them down the hall.
