I had a ginger tabby Gund cat. It was pretty realistic, but I don't know that it fooled anyone. I had it with me on the monorail in Disneyworld, and a woman asked me if I shouldn't have it in a carrier, and I was so happy that she thought it was real, but I was also rather young, and in retrospect I think it more likely that she was just playing along.

But walking up and petting it? That's harder to justify.
