it's the cheesiest!
Ventured through the cheese festival this afternoon. Tried many cheeses, purchased two (a lovely goat cheese with chive blossoms and a cheddar cheese with sage that is absolutely fantastic: the goat cheese works great on a baked potato but I have yet to think of an interesting application for the cheddar. Suggestions?)
Seaners tried the chutneys (which were okay) and the jams (which were pleasing, especially the rhubarb) and the cheese and crackers (which ... were not so pleasing, apparently). He was also happy listening to the buskers (especially the piano: I've been thinking about getting a digital piano at some point ... maybe in the next year or so? Perhaps he might like lessons. doubletake carry him around (which he doesn't do with me, of course, because he can't get away with it.)
My mother's day present: the Producers DVD when it comes out (which will be later this week).
Watched "The Virgin Suicides" last night, which was an amazing movie and did full justice to the book.
It's been a good weekend. Now time for the CI and Crossing Jordan season finales, and sleep.
