shiny things will be the death of me

Is it possible to create a moodtheme using Scrapbook images without having to cut and paste /every individual URL/ if they're in the same directory? Is it possible to see the original filename after you've uploaded an image to Scrapbook? Or should I just give up and use something else to host them? Because this is DRIVING ME INSANE.

*hits head on desk repeatedly* ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH.

Also: is there any godly reason why someone would need the conception kit? I mean, it's not IVF, obviously, so why not just do it the regular way? The mind boggles. Maybe I'm missing something. Is there actually enough demand for this that it would warrant mass marketing?

I imagine it's an option for lesbians who have a sperm donor and aren't going through a fertility clinic. Probably works better than a turkey baster.

True, good point.
Seems like a bit of a niche market, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I think I used the Perl script uploader on the directory and then copy-pasted the URLs from my Terminal window into the mood theme page.

You have to copy the original name into Scrapbook, otherwise it's not preserved.

And yes, it is crazy-making, but it works just as well as anything else.

When I looked at the perl script uploader it claimed that OSX didn't have the libraries. What do I need to download to make it work?

(God,it's been a very long time since I've used unix.)

Oh, right. I forgot about that part. I write/use enough Perl scripts that I'm always downloading modules anyway.

What you need to do is 'sudo cpan', follow the prompts for configuration (mostly just hitting Return a lot), then tell it to install all the modules listed at the top of the Perl script. 'install LWP', 'install Digest::MD5', etc. Those will hopefully Just Work.

Lesbian couples spring instantly to mind, apparently it can be a bit hit and miss using the old "turkey baster" routine and getting the timing for your mum-to-be at the right point in her cycle and your sperm donor available to um, done, can be fiddly, so I could imagine a few failed attempts would make this kit an ideal option. Or, I guess men with low sperm counts or who don't produce much semen or maybe women who for some reason can't get things at the right angle but have everything else working fine so aren't candidates for IVF.... Oh yeah, and how about people who want to be parents without messing with that icky sex stuff (<-- I'm sure they exist, sadly)

I saw a statistic on the TV the other day about how many people have a hard time conceiving "the old fashioned way" that was horribly staggering. Sadly, I don't remember what it is, but trust me, there are a lot of folks out there who'd be willing to try just about anything. And IVF is pretty darn expensive if your only problem is that the guy's urethra is at a weird angle.
