So I have some of this yarn coming to me (I know it says 'out of stock'. I ordered it last week.)

Which do you prefer:

Jaywalker sock pattern.
Here there be dragons sock pattern.
Or some other sock pattern? I'm also wanting to do Widdershins (of course the cable version) but I'm thinking that might be too busy with the cables as distinct as they are.)

I have access to all of those patterns, having bought the second pattern because I could not resist the idea of dragony socks. But I can't decide now. :P

$0.02

I rather like the dragon sock pattern ... I heard the Jaywalker socks could be less stretchy than I like my socks to be, because of the pattern, but then I'm usually a basic-ribbing kinda girl ;)

I really don't see what the appeal is of the Jaywalker . . . the pattern is too subtle. I do like the dragons pattern and I adore the look of Widdershins.

Widdershins gets my vote!

OMG ... you and I are LIKE THIS. I bought this on Saturday:

skein of bluegreen yarn deeply similar to phinnia's

I was in there shopping for yarn for these, and what did I end up buying? Practically everything.

Mine is going to be a hat. With earflaps. For my brother.

As far as patterns go ... I'm sorry, I can't decide. Follow your heart.

That yarn is GORGEOUS. You have such a lucky brother. :-D And those dinosaurs are totally precious, I saved the pattern.

I like the jaywalker and the widdershins. I have problems with knitted socks when worn with shoes - the patterns end up hurting my feet, most especially cables. But they're pretty!
