phinnia: smiling dolphin face (eat the peach)

it's alright, it's okay

Accomplishments:

  • Went out onto the balcony, despite a paralyzing phobia of heights/falling that generally causes me to avoid balconies. Actually stuck my hand out to see how hard it was raining.
  • Went sailing, on an actual largish (not too large, but not the tiny ones) sailboat, and only had moderate level panic attack while on the actual boat. (I have May possibly take the boy along next time. Saw a wharf rat (I didn't know wharf rats existed, but they do) as big as one of our cats. Apparently the organization that runs the sailing also does a camping trip at one of the local islands; that promises to be interesting should we decide to go. Haven't camped in a long long time, since pre-[livejournal.com profile] tallin, which makes it at least seven plus years. (I have a sailboat phobia, too, due to a cascade of badly handled childhood incidents with small sailboats. Maybe that's not so bad now.)
  • Had very small amount of stout, confirming the fact that I do not like stout. ([livejournal.com profile] tallin and I split a beer sampler. I am a wuss. I am also horribly uncoordinated when consuming even the smallest amount of alcohol; scraped the crap out of my arm by falling into a pole with a commemorative plaque on it.)
  • Found the Post Alley Sculpture Garden. Closed, but I think going back later might be in order.
  • Found a reasonably priced drop in water aerobics class I might go to on Saturdays.

Clicky: Free wine for (U.S. based in some states only) bloggers. It intrigued me enough to ask for a bottle. :-) (link from the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] kwalton.)

It's been a decent day. :-)

Sailing? Wheeeeee! Safely before the alcholol, I trust? :)

Yaaaaay! I knew you could do it. I personally love boats, and I was really hoping your experience would be a good one. *cheers*

As long as it isn't a three hour tour
