wtf, snow?
It's snowing. A lot. And I do not approve of this. Child is off on field trip at Snoqualimie, sledding. Am sort of worried about child getting home, because people do not know how to drive in this weather here (or really at all, in any weather, but you know what I mean.)
So far today:
Walked to library. Books picked up: Nature's Last Stand (about kids and green spaces), Reasons to Live (short stories by Amy Hempel, who I love), a book on Chinese luck traditions and the new book on words by Anu Garg.
Nearly finished 'The Dirt on Clean: An Unsanitized History' (verdict: well written, quite interesting)
Nap
Lunch (last night's dinner leftovers. added goat cheese, as it was a little dry, reheated. verdict: very nice.)
Upgraded machine to Vista Ultimate (shut up, I like Vista)
Found caregiver for appointments next week (child's usual sunday caregiver is free, and she's watching him Tuesday and Thursday mornings, so I'll have time not just to go to my appointments but also to go to lunch. She's an awesome vegan new-hippie type who likes bluegrass music and is trained in sign language. We luff her.)
retrieved laundry from laundry man (okay, so it cost me a hundred dollars, but it washed and folded pretty much everything we own. money well spent.)
This evening:
RP
Dinner (fish with biryani and broccoli, I think)
Tomorrow:
sadly, cleaning the damn house (again)(still)(where is my self cleaning house!?)
maybe the farmer's market
cake baking! (trying
dejablu503's gluten free cake recipe)
visiting with
doubletake-and-spouse for cake and ice cream!
Sunday:
respite (haircut + brunch)
How about you? What are your plans?

Let's see.
Tonight: Pick up meds at pharmacy. Do a middling serious grocery shop. Dinner somewhere because otherwise no dinner until too late to want dinner.
Saturday: Himself is working. I'll probably declare a jajamas and DVDs and knitting holiday. Possibly a nice long soaky bath, if my gimpy shoulder is up to scrubbing the tub out first. Dinner: Um. Maybe make chicken fingers.
Sunday: Not a clew. More knitting, have this set of socks would like to have done sometime before the next ice age. Maybe chivvy Himself into going to Block 15 for lunch so I can addressthis pulled pork craving. Hover incessantly over the Shadow Unit site wishing for new content to appear.

i have a half-done felted bag that will probably be on the needles until judgement day. I'm starting to hate it, but I'll be damned if I give up (it's half finished.) So yeah, I get the whole 'before the next ice age' thing.
What movies? That sounds fun.
