in defense of the open source boobies project, i think it was a fun idea for a very specific group of people in a very specific place at a very specific point in time. it is however lacking in insight into the ways of humans on the internet to think you can extrapolate that to make it a fun idea for a much larger, much less homogenous group of people. this is one of those things that you really can't take out of context and make it work, nor should you try.
