i used a walker for the first few weeks after my surgery. it's still in my closet right now, just in case. when i can do the stairs again and carry things simultaneously, i will take it to the basement. but not yet.

if you can, you might want one of the ones that are colored and have four wheels and a basket. they are way more sexy than the all aluminum colored ones, plus you can carry things. (it's hard to carry things while using a regular walker.)
