i know; i can't believe i'm alive EITHER.

despite rumors of my demise i am, in fact, alive. we are now mid-move; i am at a coffee shop around the corner from the new apartment; cats are in new apartment; Chris is at the old apartment. Child is at school and will be dropped off at new apartment afterwards.

I am dead tired, insanely sore and physically exhuasted. but i think we did manage to do it. <3

things new apartment has that old one does not:

dishwasher
washer/dryer
lots of bathroom storage
amazingly spacious closets
gigantic cupboard/counter in dining room
lots of closets
carpets (that could be good OR bad. all white carpets. huh.)

i am not going to be able to catch up on my flist; please leave a comment and tell me what's gone on in the past few days, because I do love you all. <3 (I mean that. I do.)

I'm about the run off to school for several hours, but I like making icons so it'd be no problem this evening if no one else on your talented f-list has by then. She is quite easy on the eyes! I can even add text and whatnot. Ack, gotta run!

Didn't feel like working on my paper, so I did icons. I uploaded them to my Box account for simplicity's sake.

There's fifteen of them there. Most of them are realllly simple so I don't care about credit. And, as far as I'm concerned anyone interested may use them. I had a good but thoroughly exhausting Thanksgiving and now I'm sick. Bah.

i'm sorry about being sick. <3 *hughug* i think they're white or very light grey or brown... poor decision, imo.

Yeah, my mom always voted for "dirt color," and I'm with her, boring as it is. Or even darker. I'd be fine with a really dark blue or dark purple or something.

I have the dorkiest cough. *feeble cough* Non-productive and erratic. Like, "Did you ever heard the joke about the dorky interrupting cough?" "Huh? What's a--" "*koff*" "...That was dorky."

I must concede that Online is distinctly not so good. It's damn close, and comfy, but... yeah. I only tolerated the coffee because it was RIGHT THERE.

On the plus side, you are as close to the brand-new Vivace location as you are to the Broadway QFC, and the new Vivace is way more wheelchair-friendly. (the old one was, but lots of annoying twists in the entryway.

i may stake out Vivace soon. I couldn't even drink the coffee at Online. It's the second worst coffee I've ever seen.
(the worst, for reference, was a Mrs. Fields in Port Authority bus terminal, which smelled fantastic but had absolutely no flavour at all.)

I'll just ignore my art homework and make some icons now :D (I'm happy that other people like Olivia Wilde as much as me <3)

(My only news is that I lost my job this morning: laid off. Oh, well. It'll be fine.)

I think they must be scotchguarded to hell and back, considering the last tenant had a huge dog and they looked reasonably good while she was here (we met her when they were showing the apartment).
getting laid off kind of sucks, and I will worry about you in that way that I worry about beloved friends of mine having sucky things happen to them. I'm absolutely certain that you'll handle it like the goddess you are though. <3

Congrats on the move, and I'm glad you survived it. I truly hate moving, but it sounds like your new place is nifty.:)

We're fine. Rachel had her bi-annual neuro-psych exam last Wednesday, and her annual MRI on Friday. She also left her new winter coat at the hospital on Friday, and they haven't found it yet. I doubt they will.:/

Anyway, results on all test should be back in a week or so, and I'll try and remember to update.

I had an ambulatory EEG a few weeks ago. The neuro-psych diagnosed me with non-epileptic seizures - so-called 'paroxsymal events" - and he put me on Lamactil, which is going okay so far.

Rachel was on Lamictal for about 2 years. I think her main side effects were pain in her knees and vision problems.

If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. I'm sure you've done your homework, though.:)

Good luck with it. I hope it helps. Was the NP specific about what kind of symptoms you would have noticed with the seizures?

He was not - fortunately i see him again in ten days so I can write down a bunch of questions to ask him then.
I'm finding that the lamactil is actually making my noun-aphasic episodes worse. i expect this is not by design.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wonder if it's maybe a temporary thing, and will clear up with time.

I'm not sure if it's doing any good because I'm not certain what else to look for. I'm going to call him tomorrow and see what he says. he's not always in the office but he's very good at returning phone calls. <3

I went and looked up the side effects of Lamictal, and it doesn't mention aphasia, but if you already have trouble with it, who knows? The brain is so complex, even the neuros are only guessing most of the time.

I hope your Dr does get back to you quickly, and is able to help shed some light.
