  • 21:11 neurologist and wife have best accents: mix of aussie and south african. suspect neuro would be lost without wife and office assistant. #
  • 21:11 possibly literally lost. he is a wonderful man, but he seems very much absentiminded professorish. #

Is your neurologist Australian?

I don't know if he's australian by way of south africa or south african by way of australia. he has a million diplomas and awards in his office, and there are some from both countries as well as from the US ...

Heh. Now I really just want to know where he got his MBBS, because I am curious that way.

Australians and South Africans (that is, English South Africans, not Boer South Africans) have very similar accents. I can see how someone with a Canadian/American accent (ie, a non-rhotic one) would mix them up.
