moar clickies

russian and american satellites collide. First incident of its kind.

Chris, upon hearing the relative size (950 KG to 537 KG) of the two satellites, said the american satellite never had a chance;

"I WILL TAKE YOUR LUNCH MONEY." "i don't have-no no no!" fwam "OH SHIT. AM NOW IN PIECES, CANNOT SPEND LUNCH MONEY. I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM BORIS AND NATASHA."

From my girl, who is still awesome: rescued koala reunited with rescuer. (this makes me cry; everything makes me cry. so did eleven year old saves three year old sibling with cpr he learned from TV.)

From [livejournal.com profile] arhh (who is a bad influence and I love her for it.) shark attack tea maker and liquid bookmark. I have actually bought a set of the last one and can't wait for them to arrive. I'm going to get one of those Susie Bright erotica compliations and use the white one for it at the local hipster coffee place. It would be a little better if I were male, but I can cope.

And two more from the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] foxestacado: black cats set to advertise video game (ee) and architects design near-invisible tree house.

ah, i see it's going to be another fabulous pain night. ugh. at least we have ice cream.

Your satellite dialogue sounds like a snippet of a bad non-con fic. IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY,

As for the liquid bookmark, well, you dirty dog. *grins*

I know someone else who must have that tea infuser -- she has a closet of tea, and one of her nicknames is "Sharky" for her great and t00by love of Jaws and other shark stuff.

Go go cats! I should have offered up some of our black cats-- we have five of them in our family. Why do we keep getting black cats? God only knows, but we do.

Also that tea maker needs to be on sale. NOW.

I hope the ice cream showed your pain who's boss.

It is REQUIRED that you imagine the Russian satellite speaking with deep, gruff voice and campy faux Russian accent. Then again—you likely knew this.

The liquid bookmarks make me wonder if a do-it-yourself variety is obtainable via liquid latex and a hard surface on which to pour...

Apparently since the satellites are moving at ridiculous speeds (say, 27000 km/h) they turned into plasma. That's like being *vaporized* for not offering your lunch money.

(Neat quirk: because of the speed they collided at, their debris clouds will continue in their previous orbits, due to them turning to plasma faster than the speed of sound (that is faster than the collision forces could propogate), and not alter like pool balls do when they collide. Now that's kind of cool.
