Took tallin and machineplay's advice and made scheduleish/to do list that sets times to things. Limited writing time to 1 hour for now. (more is fine, but not required. this takes away the 'must be at computer constantly to wait for inspiration or am not a Real Writer.' anxiety. Day has been particularly satisfying, and i finished two minifics during that hour.

i always resisted schedules because they made me feel anal-retentive. idk why this is different, but apparently it is.

If he's particularly fearful of the dentist you may want to see if they'll take him in Dental Fears 206-685-2453 as well. They mostly do adult patients, but I know they also work with children and how to make them less fearful of the dentist in general.

I don't know anyone particularly well in any of those clinics, so dropping my name probably won't help.

his dentist was dr. cypher (scyper? i don't remember how it was spelled).
he's not afraid of the dentist per se as much as being nonverbal, autistic and totally blind, so it's pretty much impossible to explain what's being done or get him to sit still. (granted it has been a while but i don't think he'd sit for a filling - toothbrushing is hit or miss as it is.
