Happy mothers' day.
I'll leave out the commentary as to why this holiday's a mess in my own family of origin and focus on the good stuff. I know a lot of great moms, and they deserve it.
Gifts from
seanersxp, chosen with great skill by his daddy:
A geek book, a lit book, a cookbook. They know me well.
We're also trying out the new electric fryingpan. My husband makes great hashbrowns. Mmmm.

The Diviners!
Re: The Diviners!
I'm not really keen on Margaret Atwood, personally. I find her poetry to be a lot more readable than her fiction, myself. I prefer Carol Shields and Douglas Coupland, as far as CanLit goes. And Margaret Laurence too.
