Sleep mode on

Argh.
Well, I got to sleep at ... four in the morning. I'll spare you the roller coaster details, except to say that it partly involved the boy waking up, insomnia, our smoke detector being on crack (going off randomly - and yes, the batteries were recently changed) and other things. Not all bad, necessarily, but I'm tired. And sleepwalking, or nearly. The kitchen is a card carrying disaster area. I hate doing dishes.

Okay, explain this to me.
If windows and MS are evil (and I have to admit that I dislike their business practices) what makes Apple any less evil? Given that their iTunes service won't work on any portable music players other than the iPod as I understand it (feel free to correct me), their new OS has been totally inaccessible to the blind since its inception and they refuse to release APIs to third party devs (and this I have on authority from one of the product managers at Outspoken, who made the AT for the previous generations of MacOS - told you my husband has dragons' luck) ... etc.
I'm not trying to start a fight here. I just don't understand why one is considered less evil than the other. As I see it, it's just a question of whether you want apple flavoured evil or coffee flavoured evil. Am I missing something?

I must have changed. Years ago I never would have bought these sheets.
They're comfy though, and they go really well with this in red.
(And now you see where I sleep at night. :-) Portland gloom requires bright and cheery bed linens, although it's been sunny lately.)

Y'know, I think I forgot to turn breakfast on? Time to do that and change the boy.

Thing that irritates me #943, 231. Please, for the love of Gord, know the name of the email program you use. It's a thing that you click on. It takes very little to read that. And then it avoids the tech support drone on the other end thinking you're using Outlook when what you're really using is Outlook Express, which does NOT synch with a Pocket PC. We're not asking for the under the hood details. Just the name of the program. Please. *headdesk*

And the LIT format for ebooks isn't readable on Macs... Both companies play the "proprietary" card.

The fact that MS is evil in no way makes Apple good.

I'm planning on learning Linux...
