Yes, I like making lists. :-D

Things I have accomplished today:

  • Organized most of the mail that has to go out next week (I still have two small boxes to pack up - a return of some shoes that are too big, and a package for [livejournal.com profile] raventyde. Other than that, I'm good.)
  • Fixed Sean's closet door
  • Folded the laundry that's been sitting around for three days
  • Ate food (sometimes I forget to do this, so really, it's an accomplishment)
  • Figured out where the missing bits are for Sean's Early Head Start application
  • Applied to PCC Sylvania (local community college) to take a few tech writing classes in the fall. Yes! I was waiting to make sure that I would be an instate resident for a year before they start, but they start at the end of September, so no danger in that. I'm probably going to take two classes - we can afford to do that, and then I won't overload myself with classes and the kiddo and commuting and etcetera and so on, which I've done in the past with horrifyingly disastrous results. I'm scared and excited all at once, but I'm going to do this.
  • Filled out transcript forms to get them sent to me for the upcoming appointment regarding the above.
  • Snuggled with the kitten. We even have a name for him. (Javelin, incidentally. This should surprise no one who knows the derivations of the names Velvet and Silk.)
  • Thought about [livejournal.com profile] hai_kah_uhk's Character Creation Contest. No ideas yet, but it's percolating.
  • Edit: Learned how to tie a sarong. Also impressed husband with inate sexiness of sarong. Go me. :-D

I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner. I may try zucchini parmesan if I have the ingredients to do so. Hm.

I was about to ask. I brought home this ginormous zucchini from work, and it seems to demand more complex handling than mere slice-and-fry. I could make zucchini lasagna with it, but zuc parm sounds sufficiently different to investigate.
