This morning the characters, bastards all of them, decided I should be doing an entirely different NaNo project. So now I'm ... 1400 words in, and eight days behind. Boo-yah!
(The NaNovel will be happening over at tangentialcurve, which is The New Writing Journal. The first part should be happening sometime this evening, Gord Willing.)

No, really. It's hard work writing so many words in a month. I tried it and I am up to... (drum roll please) 528! Yeah, I really have no time with med school and exams. I'm hoping to do some major catching up over Thanksgiving break-- five and a half days off!

I had a similar problem with my NaNo novel, though at least my characters were nice enough to change topics the second day. Eheh. Eight days behind isn't entirely impossible... Good luck!
