It's hard to believe it's December. Because I can go outside and dude! No snow! Someday I'll get used to this: that day is, however, not today.

So I recieved my second batch of holiday cards, which means that this is just about your last chance to get in on the holiday card poll. First wave of cards went out last week. I'll probably get the second wave of cards sent out Friday at the latest - I have to go downtown then anyway.

Recieved: cards from clawfoot, epi_lj and okoshun (which made me giggle), charisma and delusionalangel. They are presently taking up a place of honor on the piece of braided tricolour yarn I use for such things.

I forgot to mention I cut Seaners' hair. I cut the front painfully short, but I did a pretty good job with the back and sides this time. Next time I just need to cut the front longer. (I always cut his hair. I cut it in the tub with a pair of Fiskars' kids scissors - I forget who gave me that suggestion, it may have been doubletake or it may have been someone else - possibly the vision therapist. He gets so squirmy that I'm afraid he'd just lose it going to a barber.)

In the next few days I'll scan in his school picture, too.

Oh, this article is interesting: it's about the new Monty Python musical 'Spamalot' (which I want to see if at all humanly possible) that Eric Idle's doing. (link thanks to lysana).

It's been, um, 26 years since I moved to Oregon from the Midwest. I'm pretty much used to the "winter means rain, not snow" thing, but I still get croggled when the daffodils start blooming in Janury. (I also still gloat about it to my snow-bound friends. Bad Pat.)
