so quiet ...

[livejournal.com profile] godlyperspectiv posted this link yesterday - a high school graduation speech that's actually GOOD and that everyone should read.

I should probably do homework, but I'm waiting to hear from Chris first. I don't know what time he landed in London, but it was after 2AM my time. He should hopefully be landing in about two hours in Mumbai.

[livejournal.com profile] anthropomor_fic is a really nifty concept, but I can't write the stuff. (I haven't been able to write much that's really 100% satisfied me lately, but it's starting to come back. I blame the inane little writing exercises he's having us do in class. They seem to be getting less and less inane, but its an asymptotic line toward actually being INTERESTING. This weekend's would have been okay, but they have niggling little annoyances that are made worse by seeming so petty.)

If it didn't look like rain I'd take Seaners to the park later.

I need to invest in a single-person vegetarian cookbook, because I have completely forgotten how to cook for one person (unless it's the boy, but he's so picky I just make different food for him anyway) and this leads to me not eating properly when Chris is out of town. Recommendations appreciated.

Hmmm...cooking for one is always a challenge. I often end up making something I really enjoy and eating leftovers off it for a week. Something soup-stew-like, for example. Like vegetarian chili, perhaps?

That's a good idea. :-) And as an added bonus it's something the kid will eat, too. Thanks!

No problem. :-)
