Okay!
Yesterday sucked for quite a few reasons, mostly to do with lack of sleep, a large amount of brattitude on the part of the boy, and other general crap.
Today is A Shiny New Day, made immediately wonderful by the promise of a new Richard Feynman book entitled "Perfectly Reasonable Deviations from the Beaten Track." (*ssh. If you order from Powells you can get a really neat t-shirt, too.*) This book is already mine.
I think if Feynman were alive and not like, twice my age I would probably have his children. As it is I'll have to settle for being a fangirl.
And. AND. His daughter will be appearing at Wordstock (she's coauthor of the book) at 10AM on Sunday. So I just need to get there (there == the convention center, because I'm working the festival from 12:30-5) a little early ...
So! *looks suspiciously at Portland at large* Let us make today not suck. I don't feel like a repeat of yesterday. The crying is just not, okay?
