the sky overhead was the colour of a television tuned to a dead channel

Tomorrow, I get to SLEEP IN. <3 Or at least, not have to run ragged out the door at 8:30. SUCH A BOBIDDA.

My birkenstocks hate me: I have a blister on my pinky toe. (Edit: okay, and two hyooge blisters, one on each instep. Ick. What does one do for blisters?)

Today's imp (because I'm sure you all care what I smell like): Neo-Tokyo. Which smells, to me, almost exactly what a William Gibson novel should/would smell like.

Or maybe it's the rain. Anyway - It's raining, I smell like cyberpunk, my muse is back, and I only made a few minor mistakes in Japanese. It's a good day.

Oh, I know, isn't it? It's fabulous out there.

Please relieve me of my long-term curiosity. Where does "bobidda" come from? (And I always read it as BOE biddah... but maybe it's more like in Bibbity BOBBITY boo. Hmm.)

It's what you'd thought - BOE-biddah, exactly. It means 'good person/good thing' and it's something Chris and I came up with ... I think it was either in a bathtub or a sleep-deprived bus ride, I don't remember which now.

For some reason, I just love it.

Feel free to use it. :-D The appropriate negative is nonbobidda, which is also handy.

for the blisters, put a bandaid over them. If you don't have one that is big enough, gauze padding at tape is good.

I bet your feet got wet today. Wet shoes/socks and rubbing = blisters.

Soaked. :-D I have terrible circulation, so I get them a lot (especially breaking in new shoes, which was also part of the problem).

My circulation isn't *too* bad. But I have to keep an eye out. I want to keep my legs and feet, thank you very much.
