Recycled sari silk yarn. Isn't it pretty? Tangly, but pretty. I'm making it into mini-skeins.

Damn, I need a yarn swift.

Random: I never liked 'My Fair Lady' (see 'current music') because it never seemed like Henry Higgins entirely changed from the jackass that he was, and certainly Eliza didn't know if he had, and yet she came back to him anyway. It was my ex's favorite movie. Analyze that if you like.

My Fair Lady gives me the feminist convulsions. "Thanks for patronizing me. I love you." Shut it.

A friend of mine used her swift for a fetching hatrack for a children's tea party which featured fancy hats.

What a neat idea. :-D

Oooh! That's the yarn that started me knitting! :D I was able to resist temptation until I saw a wall full of those skeins. Sooooooo pretty.

I can totally understand why. :-) I'm amazed by what they make yarn out of these days.

I'd heard about the sari yarn.

Very cool.

I'd be tempted to post that pic as "alien plant sprouts"... :-)

I should put some of it in a pot and do so. :-D

I have a purse made of recycled silk sari yarn, and it's one of my favorite things...even if it does look like the "rag bag". hee!

Knitting...I should really figure it out, but seeing as how I got dreadfully bored with crochet, somehow I don't see it happening.

[identity profile] phinnia.livejournal.com 2006-03-14 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
That's what this is going to eventually become. :-D

Line the strap. I got mine off of Overstock.com, and it's a lovely bag, but the stupidasses didn't line the strap, and it's stretched down clear to m'knees.

not that great as a movie, but one of the best musicals ever!

Oh, totally. Great songs. Fantastic soundtrack. Terrible message.

You've left out stalker-boy. A whole song about stalking, in fact! And yet she turns to him briefly while leaving. And I love that song.

[identity profile] phinnia.livejournal.com 2006-03-14 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'd forgotten about that part. :-D That's the problem exactly, though. The songs are so CATCHY, and ridiculously well written, and the plot is horrible.
