My MIL recommended that movie (Lost in Translation) to us, so we got it from the local library.

I... didn't get it, I guess. Neither of us, in fact, saw the appeal. I didn't hate it or anything, but it just didn't seem to have much plot, or something. I remember being very disappointed because she'd raved about it so much.
