today's big adventure

  • [livejournal.com profile] tallin is once again in the Emerald City.
  • On a related note, I just started 'Wicked' and am about halfway done.
  • Met up with [livejournal.com profile] taogrl and [livejournal.com profile] weaktwos for lunch (at Island Joe's) and Lush and thrifting, which was really awesome.
  • Attempted to figure out intermittent 'net problems and phone issues. Failed on both counts.
  • Nap-crashed until The Seed arrived.
  • Lush haul: strawberry/cream bubble bar (it's new!) and 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' bath melt (I had to, because of the book; has anyone else used their bath melts? Do you cut them up like the bubble bars?); 'Cupcake' fresh face mask, 'Big' shampoo (and one free! yay coupons!) and 'Ambrosia' shaving stuff for [livejournal.com profile] tallin, who fell in love with it when it came in his Christmas box.

How are you liking Wicked thus far? I am taking the sequel out to the coast with me...so that ought to tell you how much I liked it :D

I'm enjoying it. I really like the level of detail he's put into his backstory, it's quite impressive.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the character development.

Do you mean somewhere in Kansas? Because i'm somewhere in Kansas.

Actually I meant Seattle, because for some reason that I'm not sure of Seattle has that particular nickname. :-)

Wicked is on my list, too, along with the sequel. Another friend (who is very into Wizard of Oz) has raved about both. Good to hear another person enjoying it.

It's very detailed, which impresses me from a literary nerd point of view. It doesn't seem to have a LOT of correspondence with the musical (although the musical has some amazing songs) but it's very good.
