decisions, decisions

Okay, so maybe it's a measure of my life that this is the hardest decision I have to make right now, and I suppose I shouldn't complain, but what is LJ for if not whinging? :-D

Should I satisfy my need for instant gratification and get the regular copy of jPod?

Or should I wait a little less than a month and get the signed copy of jPod?

(jPod, if you are now entirely confused, is the sequel to Microserfs.)

And for the record, I do have one Coupland signed first edition - Girlfriend in a Coma - and he signed my copy of Life After God when I went to see him read. So ... I am not exactly short on Coupland signed material.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

(And it's good. Trust me. He read a little from the final draft at the reading. It's darker than Microserfs, but that's not a bad thing, IMO.)

(Why don't I have a Coupland icon? Must fix that somehow.)

My personal favorite is Life after God, but that's kind of offbeat. I'd probably recommend either Microserfs or Shampoo Planet to start with - they're probably his most accessible novels. Most of his stuff is excellent (although I have not met one person who actually enjoyed All Families are Psychotic, including myself, so keep that in mind if you like. :-))
