Friend of mine in college (Washington, DC) often commented that he'd never know if the Rapture occurred because (a) gridlock happens with or without drivers in the cars at that moment; or (b) nobody in DC qualifies.
Yep, what I figured. Honestly I can see the temptation, but that's pretty wrong. I wonder if people actually buy into that stuff; I guess stranger things have happened. That's pretty sad.
I used to live in Tennessee. It was not uncommon to see people that believed that, for instance, FAA regulations required one non-Christian co-pilot for every Christian pilot in case of rapture.
