1. My son is very cute when he dances to Freezepop. I wish I had a video camera (or,well, film for my Super 8 camera). He even tries to sing along with 'Vacation'... which is mostly him going 'eeeee!' and is, I think, his favorite song by them.
2. On a related note, I could probably actually GET film for my Super 8 camera at some point. I love those things. And a splicer and a projector, too.
3. Can you tell I'm a reformed film school geek? I'd go to one again, but I don't know that there's anything of that kind here in PDX.
4. Sean's daycare provider person sent him home with an easter basket. (He wasn't there last week, or most of this one, due to various things.) It contained gelt-like chocolate easter coins (Chris commented that Easter Gelt is just a bizarre idea) and toys, including a miniature stuffed duck with a mohawk that is going to go and keep Chris's minature sock monkey company.
5. Lost: one copy of Siddartha. Where did I put that? Also my New York City Public Library Desk Reference.
6. I am also a reference book geek.
7. Portland is the fifth most "unwired" (as in 802.11b/g) city in the US. That's cool. #1-4 were SF/San Jose/Oakland, Orange County, Washington DC, and Austin/San Marcos, TX. (And Seattle was #6. HA!)
Don't get me wrong. I love Seattle. But it eclipses Portland in peoples' minds when they think of the Northwest, and that's kind of annoying. We have just as much coffee and actually more rain, damnit. :-D
8. The evil appointment went as well as could be expected.
9. They still haven't fixed the damn dumpster containter. ARGH.
10. Anyone tried the morningstar farms fajita burgers? Are they good?
11. I love this song. It makes me think of
kohlnuu.
12. Happy birthday to
mactavish! And happy birthday to
patgreene!
