phinnia: smiling dolphin face (mondrian)
(*checks under the sofa* Nope, guess not. Tuesday's still here.)

Today I get (for suitably small versions of 'get') to go back to the dentist for more torture mouth fixing things. Two hours worth. Argh. Annoying, more than anything, really. I don't wanna sit in a dentists' chair for two hours. Of course, I don't wanna get another root canal or worse, so ... yeah. I guess I'm stuck. So I get a temporary crown and a few more fillings.
Maybe I'll take my MP3 player. Yeah. At least then I'll have tunes.

Tomorrow is Sean's IFSP. The day after that the woman who bought the a/c from us is coming to pick it up. Saturday we retrieve [livejournal.com profile] raventyde from the airport. Where the hell did the time go? Then after she leaves I'm going to Seattle for a few days to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] tallin who should already be there, and then we're bringing back [livejournal.com profile] doubletake for the weekend, and that's it for May.
Grand Central Station, how may I direct your call?

Speaking of, I did order that IEP book from Amazon. While I don't foresee much of a need for it now because our team is decent, sooner or later he'll be transitioning into school.
I'm worried about that. Probably because a lot of schools and districts are filled with idiots. Instinct says homeschool, but I have to honestly look at myself and say that it would drive me loopy. So another option I suppose would be a magnet or a charter school, if the one in the neighborhood is crummy.
I can see myself staying local to this area for a while though. Good transit, nice neighborhood. What else do you want? Well, I wouldn't mind a third bedroom for guests and washer/dryer hookups. But one can't have everything.

Oh yeah. Chris thought he'd lost his bluetooth phone headset on the bus, so he bought a new one; and then I found the original one in the dryer (guess he must have put it in a seldom-used pocket). Y'know it still works? I was going to get one anyway ... now I don't have to. Serendipity is funny sometimes.

Topic: music.
(I know. This is supposed to be Jack-and-Allanna month. This hit me out of nowhere. I couldn't resist it. :-D Yes, of course they were listening to this CD.)

Date night.
Fabian turned, straightening as he hit 'play' on the stereo. "There."
"Whatcha putting on, schnookiebaby?" Jakob drawled from the sofa, patting the empty spot between his knees invitingly.
"Sinatra." Fabian sat down and wormed his way up to rest his head on Jakob's chest. "That okay?"
"It's fine." Jakob stroked Fabian's long blonde hair gently, kissing him on the forehead.
They sat silently for a while, enjoying the comfort of each other's silence.
"You know something?" Fabian spoke up suddenly.
"What?"
"This song is kind of like how we met." He began singing quietly in a soft tenor voice. "Strangers in the night ... exchanging glances, strangers in the night ... wondering in the night, what were the chances we'd be sharing love before the night is through..."
"Kind of." Jakob chuckled, still petting his hair. "But it had a better beat to it."
"So kind of like the Chemical Brothers does Frank Sinatra then."
"Kind of, yeah."
"That's ... kind of weird." Fabian wriggled further up Jakob's chest, kissing the hollow of his neck. "It's true, but it's kind of weird."
"I love you."
"I love you back."

Like Bill Cosby said, I got no bottom lip. Actually I got no left side of my face at the moment. Which is kinda disorienting, so if I'm a little incoherent in comments or entries, blame it on that.
Things went well. Hopefully I won't have to get another root canal (one of the fillings was kind of big near a nerve, so it's possible that I might).
Always take your MP3 player to long dental procedures. It's very nice to have tunes on to at least partly kill the sound of the drillthing.
Also, why in the hell does 99% of the stuff they give you (like that pink crown makin' goo) taste like mint? It's all mint, except for the gel anasthetic, which is berry. Mint, mint, mint. At least it isn't freakin' bubble gum.
And why is it that they think that kids like bubble gum flavoured toothpaste anyway, or bubblegum flavoured tylenol drops? It's repulsive.

Sean's new sound at the moment is 'nee nee nee nee en nee nee mee nee nee' He's got all the components for 'Emmi'. We're working on this.

God, I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow. That's all. The therapists can (and are) coming here.
