Something in the direction of progress
Jul. 20th, 2004 10:17 amToday's plans will likely (unless it decides to seriously rain) include a trip to the zoo this afternoon, where we'll hopefully (
seanersxp and I, that is) be meeting up with
kengr.
tallin is in The Dalles demonstrating something for the day.
We finally tracked down the kiddo's shot records (we had to get them from EI after all of our phone calls to the doctor went totally unreturned); they're being faxed over to Early Head Start now - we just need to give them proof of income (pick up tax forms tomorrow) and a copy of the boy's birth certificate.
Did I mention they bus him? Because it's worth mentioning that. Again. Seriously, that takes such a load off of my morning.
Got the acceptance form from PCC, sent away for my previous college transcripts. Good times. And tomorrow is the kid's therapy group. Another benefit to Head Start - they integrate the therapy groups and stuff into the program, so I don't have to deal with juggling therapists, either.
Positive reinforcement is a wonderful thing. Which is why we're going out to lunch tomorrow after the group. It's a lot easier to deal with things if you know at the end of the hour you get good coffee and vegetarian eggs benedict.
Dear Portland Weather,
Alright, enough is enough. This 90F thing is just not good, okay? Given the choice between hot and ridiculous and cool and rainy and gloomy, I will take cool and rainy and gloomy. I can more easily treat my SAD than I can deal with blistering horrible heat. Because of this, I far prefer cool and rainy and gloomy. Therefore, getting up to 95F this weekend? No. Please, no. Just pass that on somewhere else.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Me
