I was undoubtedly up too late, which would have been fine had I not been utterly paranoid about sleeping through the alarm. There needs to be a word for that: the type of paranoia you get from not wanting to sleep through alarms, which causes you to not sleep.
(To be fair, I also had new character wandering around in my head, which would have been fine had I not been trying to get to sleep ... Of course, now he's asleep and I have to try and remember all that stuff from last night. Sheesh.)
But I did have a fabulous time chatting with [livejournal.com profile] kay_willow.

Look! It's a terrorist! In a glass!
Don't you hate those people that pay with all change? Although to be fair, his reasoning was very amusing.
(I could see my husband doing something like that. My husband also reminds me a little too much of Stewie off of Family Guy - minus the diapers. HE is still asleep, but he did stay up later than I did calling Germany. Curses, Pacific Time Zone. It makes talking with Central European businesses very difficult.)
This woman is obviously a geek. No one that was not a geek would ever think of doing this.

So I have an hour and ten minutes to drag Sean out of bed, feed/water/change him and drag his toddler beeehind out to the bus stop.
SuperMommy ... awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! *takes off in flourish*

Sean's first day of school
Sean's first day of preschool

9/30/04.

Waiting for the bus. It's not a big picture. :-) And now ... blessed silence. I hope the morning goes well.

And yes, some unfortunate people like his slightly older sister call him 'RoRo'. It annoys the snot out of him. It's about three kinds of not dignified.

Poison has a terrible reputation as being a very feminine, rather unmanly murder weapon, which is ridiculous. The important thing is being able to use the right tool for the right kind of job - be it knife or poison or wrapping a wire around someone's neck. If poison is the most appropriate tool, then poison it shall be.
The first murder I had to commit was a poisioning, as a matter of fact. I was a very young agent that was only recently drawn into service - eighteen? It's been so long now I scarcely remember, the days bleed together as they turn like sandstorms - but in any case I was dispatched as the young and freshfaced so often are to take care of a political situation in the far south. On the one hand, it was a fairly high-profile target. But you do have to understand, I was not only young, I was expendable then. Were I caught and tortured I knew little and could tell less. There was a certain understanding there.
It also made things very simple to take care of; to pose as a waiter and to sprinkle some innocent looking powder around the table and on the great man's napkin; an incense that burns with the sweet scent of nightflowers, but has a very different effect as soon as it gets wet.
He died three days later, his face frozen in the rictus of agonizing pain, but he was truly dead the moment the napkin touched his lips.
Some might say I was weak for following orders, and some might say I was right to do so. Personally, I have no regrets. What is done had to be done. Perhaps that attitude is why I can still sleep at night, while some agents suffer questions and doubts.
I can usually sleep, anyway.

Well, according to the email I just got (his aide emails us ... she rocks) the little man had a really good day, except for one minor meltdown. Woot. :-D Fell asleep on the way home, too, and was very happy to see us. I feel loved.

ABC execs obviously have timeshifting technology.
Remember the map with the hurricane paths? This is just as good. (from [livejournal.com profile] mactavish)
And of course, Presidental Debate Bingo.

Woo.

The bank finally sorted out the mess it made of our checkcards: yay for $340 miraculously appearing!
I am hopelessly addicted to MP3 blogs. Is there rehab for this? I found one linked off of something from [livejournal.com profile] audiogasms that had about fifty Radiohead live tracks. *drool*
And once again, Dubya made Seaners cry. I seem to remember he made him cry during the RNC, too. Yes, [livejournal.com profile] nihilistech's assertion that we're corrupting Sean with the liberal media is obviously correct.
