Well, that was fun. My computer was totally nonfunctional for the better part of yesterday evening (four hours of it) while it decided to run some kind of major checkdisk voodoo. Fortunately, it fixed the mass amounts of corrupted files, and seems to be working fine now.
Election day comics:
Best Minions for Hire comic ever. Well, that's a difficult statement. I really, really love the one about the cappuccino machine. But it's certainly one of the best ones ever.
Today's Sinfest is pretty nifty too.
*climbs up on soapbox for the last time, hopefully*
I came into this country because I believed I could find a positive future for myself and my children and my family here. And I'm determined to stick it out, no matter what. (This is partly due to the enormous amount of time and money myself and my loved ones threw at the US government to get the little plastic card that lets me stay here ... but I digress.)
What really frightens me is that there are people who are voting toward the right because they "always have" or because "the terrorists will win" - out of ennui or scaremongering tactics. Without putting any real thought into it at all.
I don't feel safer than I did four years ago.
*climbs down off soapbox* Damn, that thing's high. Okay, moving on.
For some reason this dog safety belt made me think of
mactavish.
Today is Seaners' first day at his new group, yay. It is cold and wet and rainy, not so much yay. And I have to go out in this, which is even less yay. Maybe we can stop for chai to halt the tide of unyayness.
I have been doing no writing at all, which is annoying. Hello? Muse? *knocks* Anyone at home, or should I just give it all up and open a fruit stand?
