*sigh of the dead*

We have a three day weekend coming up, and I need it to recover from the week. Bah. Last night I got maybe five hours sleep and all of it bad, courtesy my son who was once again awake at 2:00 ... and then might have gone back to sleep and woke again at 5:30 ... ARGH. Anyone want a toddler?
To top this off I have an audiology appointment tomorrow for said toddler at 9:00AM, which is not as bad as it might be. I found that the university actually has hearing testing facilities on campus (seven minute bus ride!) and it's only a $40 charge. That said I'm still cancelling the babysitter and declaring tomorrow evening a mental health night. Too much crap to do these past few days, I can afford to miss one film class. (Besides: I didn't want to see Jaws anyway. Then I'll have nightmares because I'm a giant wuss and my sleep will be even worse.) Pray for me tomorrow morning, because he hates having things near his ears. This will also be the first time we try out his new leash. (I used to think people were just making their kids look stupid and humiliating them, and then I had a squirmy toddler that is getting far too big for a stroller and likes to suddenly let go of mommy's hand and lunge places. Suddenly it doesn't seem so bad.)
