Talked to dude at the theater department about theater and film minors (because the film minor is managed by the theater department, the english department and the speech communication department - I'm sure that makes sense to SOMEONE, but it isn't me.) Apparently I can't double-dip classes for both, which is fine, I wasn't entirely expecting to - but I know now, anyway. Set up a meeting with him for next week for transcript assessments (because all of my film classes @York got eaten under the great monster of General Arts because, as previously stated, PSU has no film department.) Whee.
Today I wore my stompy boots (which are awesome except that they kind of pinch one of my toes on my left foot) and a very swishy tunic thing. And devil horn barettes. (There was more, but those were the best features of this outfit.)
I think I'm coming down with something. Bah. Tonight is a night for soyburger helper and angsty anime and trying to get better for tomorrow.
Switched classes from Japanese to French (which means I'm not taking it until at LEAST next quarter, because I know I can totally place out of 101 and into 102, if not 103 or beyond). Mostly due to time issues (9AM five days a week is ... difficult ... approaching impossible?) and format issues (I'm mostly a visual/linguistic(written, mostly) learner, and their teaching format is set up for mainly auditory learners, which is problematic.) New class: 'The Novel on the Globe'. Which is a fancy way of saying 'world lit selections'.
I don't think I'm really cut out to be an english major. My flowery bullshit tolerance stops at poetry and prose. (No disrespect intended to the English majors in the audience. But jesus CHRISTMAS, call a spade a SPADE. I cannot stand vague cryptic stuff like that - if I wanted cryptology, I'd go over ... well, somewhere else.) There's no reason I should have to DECODE what a course is DOING.
That said, it totally amuses me that the professor's first name is Primus. I assume he has a brother Secundus somewhere.
Chris is going to Spokane next week ... and Eugene the week after ... and Pasco the week after that. Argh.
Seaners just came in and said 'hi!'. So, well, hi. From Seaners. It's one of his favorite words.
IEP on Friday. Haaaaaate those. Argh.
