Chemical sensitivity regimen shifted to include more pills and less shakes of doom. Thank GOD. Dr. Bigelow is nice and looks like [livejournal.com profile] doubletake (assuming [livejournal.com profile] doubletake was in her early forties and blonde - but there's still a resemblance). If she only didn't have OMGWTFBBQ in the morning office hours, I'd be set. At least she only wants to see me once a month. (Now if I can remember to do everything...)

Department of Weird: The girl who was working at the medicinary was in my grade school, back in OMGWTFBBQ, Canada (a small town best forgotten). Holy friggin' weird.

Kid was up at 5:30 (after going to sleep at 10:30). Argh. Damn kids, so unreasonable.

Tomatoes hate my knees. I am coming to this conclusion. Ah, tomatoes, thou art delicious and yet inflammatory. *weeps* Peppers and potatoes don't seem to have the same effect as my beloved tomatoes. Suck. (Not that I wanted to give up peppers, but I mean, I honestly could have lived with limited potato consumption ... bad Irishwoman, bad.)

There is nothing wrong with my thyroid. The other bloodwork didn't get done due to the lab not being open. Argh.

Monty Python's Flying Creationism. Life imitates art imitates life imitates ... gah. Things scare me when they start getting too similar to the Pythons. (nicked from [livejournal.com profile] lysana)
It's still John Cleese's birthday in my time zone. *tips hat* I didn't know John Cleese and Roald Dahl grew up in the same town (Weston-Super-Mare), but they did. Hm.

Seaners made pumpkin pudding in school today. (Apparently he liked it.) They sent home the recipe, which seems to involve pumpkin and vanilla pudding. On Monday we're meeting with the speech therapist to learn Seaners-pidgin-signlanguage - not book-proper ASL, just kind of modified signs that are simple enough to get his point across.
I have to admit I was worried about the entire IEP team changing at once, and about him moving into the neighborhood school, but they seem to be far more involved here, and much better with the communication between home and school. It's a good fit.
But I'm going to class in costume (costume: fallen angel) and I'm going there right after class, so here's hoping the SLT can think on her feet. Hee.
