Happy birthday, Sesame Street.
(Fun fact: the Sesame Street theme song is one of the two TV theme songs Sean pays attention to. The other one is Law and Order, which should surprise no one who has been paying attention.)
Today I had a ridiculously long and decadent nap, which probably partly made up for the ludicrous sleep deficit I'm running these days. This was the major accomplishment of the day. I also have doubled the length of the scarf overnight, and face the very real possibility of running out of yarn. *facepalm* I don't remember the dye lot numbers, either. Bad self. (Oh well. The one end is vaguelysloppy creatively knit, so I suppose a slight colour change won't really do much. Better luck next time.)
Next project: the little headscarf from Stitch n' Bitch. I'm picking up yarn for that next week, I think. Would it be weird to do that in black and do like a frizzy blue-green muppet-hair yarn thing around the edges? Does that muppet-hair yarn do pom-poms well, or no?)
Also: are there any real advantages to different cast-on techniques (knitted vs. longtail) or are these people that require you to know the longtail caston for a pattern just picky for no good reason? Please advise. (I'd join
knitting, but it's spammy and half my FL is on it anyway. :-D)
This evening I plan on watching Titus because someone decided to put basketball on TV instead of my usual diet of Law and Order reruns. 'Tis the season, I guess.
