smells like ...
Feb. 15th, 2006 08:25 amRecent imps from Black Phoenix:
Dublin (yesterday) - not bad. Mossy. I'll probably wear it again, but I'm not sure I'd buy a bottle. But yes, mossy and dark.
Silk Road (today) - meh. Smells ... very strongly of tea and spices, but has too much of the leafy overtones of tea for me to really /like/ it.
Queen Mab (sunday) - a little muskier than my usual scents, but intriguing.
I got
tallin R'lyeh (yum yum dark brooding evil yum!) and Port-Au-Prince (which is still untried). That and the other two I mentioned earlier are the lot.
Not as much luck with this lot as the last one - I liked ... five out of the last seven (Kyoto, Neo-Tokyo, Shanghai, Santa Muerte and Amsterdam) but a few keepers.
We watched 'Panic in the Streets' last night. Not a bad movie, but not one of my favorites.
Switched browsers from Safari to Camino - all the rendering power of Firefox with (to my mind) a better interface. We'll see about that, too.
If someone is talking through the phone so loud that I can CLEARLY hear them four feet away - not on speakerphone or anything - they're too loud. And if they're management using management buzzwords, my eyeballs want to bleed.
Also: When will people get through their heads that 'having someone help the visually impaired user to access this feature' is NOT AN ACCOMODATION, it's something of ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT?
My guess? Never.
