purple haze, up in my brain

I either have allergies or the most codependent sinus cold ever. It sneaks away for a short while and then returns with extra vigor. Obviously this means it's out buying vigor in its spare time when it isn't bothering me. Still, ugh.

I actually buckled down and purchased a gate for the hallway, which will keep Seaners away from the living room during the night (so he doesn't decide it's playtime) and out of his bedroom during the day (so he doesn't decide it's naptime). Maybe, just maybe, this means we'll get a little more sleep. Last night he was so horribly overtired that he cried inconsolably for almost twenty minutes.

I am wearing my socks, even though they're still a little wet, as a quick-and-dirty way of blocking them.

The problem with ordering yarn online is that you have to wait for it to get to you. Bah.

I think that now that I have tackled cables, my next fiber demon will be lace knitting. Probably Branching Out unless I find something similarly sized that I like better - kightp, do you have any pattern recommendations for beginning lace knitting? I'm looking for something smallish (1-2 balls of yarn preferred) , for financial and personal patience reasons. :-D
