Broadcast live from Seattle in the great state of Washington ...
Well, not live, as such. And in Belltown.
Here until Tuesday.
kay_willow, can you do
non_plot and such?
Tomorrow we're seeing what will probably be The Apartment on Queen Anne (I have been assured that Queen Anne is a kickass place to live). We've actually been pre-approved, as they had an online application and we discussed this with the property manager this morning; all we have to do is go in and actually look at it (rather than just pictures which will only do one of us any good) and drop off the deposit. It has two huge bedrooms and a breakfast nook (and other rooms, of course) and appears to be absolutely gorgeous and is reasonably priced for that neighborhood, which is to say more than I've paid in rent ever in my life monthly. But I think it's all right.
Kudos to Seaners, who was absolutely /wonderful/ for the entire trip - and the restaurant both times - and might generally be maturing from apupae demon seed into an actual human that might be okay to take places that aren't fast food joints. I wouldn't take him to Chez Snootee, but I think he can handle your average high-end pizza place. And he ate an entire adult-sized portion of minestrone. He is very fond of Good Charlotte and a local Seattle punk band called Poorsport. We might be branching out from our love of Romanian disco and William Shatner.
Tired. Going splat now, I think, to borrow a term from
hobbitblue. Tomorrow: hopefully pictures of my new neighborhood? Yes.
Must locate a Seattle userpic. *pokes around Google...*
