unsent letters, sleepless spawn edition
Jun. 20th, 2006 10:16 amDear son (I called him 'son'),
While I do enjoy the opportunity to snuggle your father as much as possible, I'm not really looking to do this at 1-3 a.m on a Tuesday morning when everyone has to be up at 7:00. And neither is daddy, I can assure you.
The middle of the night is not time to play, and it is definitely not time to play in the living room. Ronald Reagan was not talking to you when he said 'tear down this wall'. Or gate, as the case may be.
Also: cheddar bunnies do not make a good carpet shampoo.
Much love (STAY IN THE BED),
Mom.
In a more positive light: Just completed initial phone interview for library volunteer position. Librarian is out of town until next week; they'll be contacting me again then to set up an orientation. I'll be doing cataloguing (my obsessive little brainmeats are so happy about cataloguing), data entry, and possibly maybe working a little with the childrens' program if I'm lucky. Impressed volunteer coordinator with knowledge of uncontracted braille and basic screen reader-fu. I rock. *squee*<3
Edit: I swear I didn't post this. But I could have. I want to find this person and hug them.
( full text here, as the ad will eventually expire. )
