Not bad. :-)
- Lovely lunch with
seattlejo this afternoon!
- Cardamom spice cake (even if it did make my mouth all wonky tingly).
- My UW application is FINALLY COMPLETED. I hand-delivered my bloody high school transcript this afternoon. Now we wait. But at least it's completed and on time and I won't have to worry about getting turned down because some transcript or another was missing.
- Apparently there's funding through Easter Seals to provide Sean with an aide, if he were to need one at preschool/in daycare.
- I also have a call in to the SPED preschool @UW (the experimental education unit). They have a program for kids 3-6 which is apparently excellent.
- Finally got my new wallet (and the Sex and the City DVDs from
dawnstar.)
- Called Sean's commission for the blind counsellor person, who is going to write an impassioned plea for us to get him in an afternoon program (including citing some of the research on blind kids and sleep disorders). I don't know if he'll be able to do anything but at least he LISTENED TO ME and actually sounded like he gave a damn, which means a lot. He's going to try.
- I learned something important: There are UPS counters in all Office Depot locations. Related: there is no longer a UPS Store on 4th Avenue in Seattle. That is a cupcake place now. :-D
- I also got offered a free haircut by a hairdresser whose bob model for her job interview had not showed up. Apparently I had perfect hair for that. (So if all else fails, I can be a bob model?) If I hadn't had a whole bunch of things to do (plus having just had a haircut) I would have taken her up on it. :-)
- Chris has all of his remote access stuff now, so he can work from home if he wants to.
Not so good:
- Still nothing back from any of the bitchy phone calls/emails I made/sent, and preschool starts in three days.
- I've had a headache since this morning.
Not bad. :-)
