phinnia: (gaiman/armageddon)
So far, many small annoyances:

1. Being stuck in Marketspice (a small, crowded store) behind a person that was taking FOREVER only to have a tour bus come in, which flooded the entire store with a huge crowd of tourists (yay claustrophobia ftw!)
2. My shoes are becoming wrecked. Wreckeder. None of my other shoes fit right, so it's a choice as to what body part I'd rather have be in pain. Right now I'm choosing ankles over toes. Must buy new shoes.
3. LJ kindly sending me comment notifications - with the comment text MISSING.
4. My iPod may be pooched. The iPod I forgot to buy the Applecare warranty on. The iPod I can't really afford to replace right now. *headdesk* STUPID.

And some small victories:

1. I found Canadian bacon! Delaurentis sells it. Except for some odd reason when you buy it here it doesn't have cornmeal around the edges. Mmm, bacon.
2. Seaners can reliably find our apartment door in the hallway.
3. Seaners is sleeping more or less through the night now. Yesterday he ate half an apple at school for snack. (This is amazing in that he hates things that go crunch and that require he chew them.) Maybe protein + Dimetapp IS the magic bullet. God, I feel like a moron for not figuring that out sooner. *headdesk*

I am also far too busy:

1. Sean's wellbaby visit is this afternoon.
2. Meet the teacher night is this evening.
3. Tomorrow morning we're touring a possible daycare placement for a few afternoons a week.
4. I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon.
5. Saturday we're supposedly going sailing again.
6. Sunday we might go to the Italian festival, but I might bail on that and just go see The Black Dahlia instead.

Child is:
41 pounds and 42 inches tall
newly injected with four types of immunization (that was so much fun I hope I never do it again. Good god. This is the best doctor ever - they have ANIMAL CRACKERS for good patients, and that went a long way toward making him less offended over the shots).
lightly feverish (see above)
happy in preschool (they are KEEPING HIM AWAKE. They are going out of their way to keep him awake, deliberately switching out his activities so he doesn't go to sleep. I hadn't even asked them to do that. He's happy and really enjoying his class. His teacher is fantastic, and they think he's the sweetest kid. *beam*)
Armed with a referral to the dental clinic (woo!) and the therapy pool@ children's for swimming lessons!
