It feels as though I'm up way too early. Although for the first time in ages I went to bed, got to sleep at a reasonable time, slept without waking up too many times, and got up again at a reasonable time. Which is EXCELLENT.

clickies:

from the marvelous [livejournal.com profile] wintersweet: last known survivor of the 1906 SF quake dies. This guy sounds fabulous. He was 106 when he died, and he worked as a grocery clerk until last week. his story is wonderful. the world is a little sadder now that he's gone.

from several people on my list: new right-wing unit of deficit measure: the Jesus. Oy.

from the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] foxestacado: ten cool secrets about disneyland

and from two people who are very dear to me, both the boy and [livejournal.com profile] hithah (who are still very dear to me even though it is possibly their fault this got stuck in my head (fortunately [livejournal.com profile] hithah also created the foolproof means to get things OUT of my head, the original RSL techno remix): the actual ad for Microsoft Songsmith. it is ... painful. and odd.

Once again, nothing much to do today. Have some packages to do up. Hopefully some writing to do. How are you doing?

a. i just broke a lamp with five lightbubs in it. the "awesome" thing here is that our vacuum is clogged again and needs declogging again. fortunately it's in a low traffic area. still. AUGH.the lamp is banish'd to the land of trash. or would be if i could walk there. and will be soon.

2. [livejournal.com profile] miintikwa is now doing one card draw if you are interested in such things (now = 2ish EST).
